Early Life
Jessica is the daughter of Kimberly, a homemaker and Jonathan Biel, an entrepreneur and an international business consultant. Justin is the younger brother of Jessica Biel. Jessica belongs to Germen, French, English and Choctaw ancestry. Jessica’s family before settling in Boulder (Colorado) moved to various places like Texas, Connecticut and Woodstock, Illinois.
Career
Jessica at first was trained to be a singer and she come into sight in various musical productions at her hometown. She played the lead role in production like Annie, The Sound of Music and Beauty and The Beast.
Jessica was signed on by a talent agency at The International Modeling and Talent Association Conference in Los Angeles. At that time she was just twelve years old.
Jessica began her modeling career by appearing in various commercials for products like Deluxe paints and Pringles.
Jessica landed up as Peter Fonda’s granddaughter for the first time in feature films in Ulee’s Gold which was released in 1997. For her this role, she won Young Artist Award.
Jessica played a role opposite to Jonathan Taylor Thomas in the spring of 1998 in the holiday movie I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
In 2003, Jessica appeared as a lead heroine in the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And in the fall of the same year, she appeared in Blade: Trinity.
In 2006, she co-starred Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti in “The Illusionist” which later on proved to be a milestone in Jessica’s acting career. For her outstanding performance in the movie, she won Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and also won an achievement award at Newport Beach film Festival.
In the same year she also portrayed the role of an Iraq war veteran in Home of the Brave. Her role was widely appreciated even though the movie failed.
Jessica has also worked alongside Nicolas Cage in Next.
In 2007, at Academy and Golden Globe awards, she was invited to announce nominations.
In Powder Blue, she portrayed the role of a striper. Moreover this was her first movie in which she appeared nude.

7th Heaven
At the age of 14, Jessica was cast as Mary Camden, the eldest daughter of the Camden family, in the famous American drama television series “7th Heaven”. In the show, Mary had a series of different boyfriends and she played a very interesting role which was widely appreciated by all her fans.
Charity work
Jessica participated in a charity auction on July 18, 2006 in order to raise funds for teen Molly Bloom from Colorado who was injured in an auto accident.
Jessica is also the co-founder of “Make the Difference Network”. This is a cause-oriented social network. Function of this social network is to connect non-profit organizations with potential donors and increase consciousness for small-to-medium non-profit organizations.
